With the trip a little over a month away, Galilee and I cannot begin to explain how excited we are. It is crunch time and we have been in prayer over how to raise the remainder of the funds. The Lord sure does listen. A couple Sundays ago, I had the privilege to speak to my church about the mission trip. With the help of my wonderful mama and dad, we made cute little homemade Africa sugar cookies to spread the mission trip cheer. The Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West, Texas sure did step up. I am blessed to say that my church welcomed our opportunity with open arms, kind hearts, and wonderful generosity.
We would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that will be praying for our journey. It was an amazing experience to talk to other members of our congregation that have been on mission trips. You can never have too many little tid bits of advice about going overseas! We would like to continue to ask our friends, family and community to keep us in your prayers as we prepare our hearts, minds and bodies to be the best they can be for these babies. We just cannot believe in one month and nine days we will be holding these babies!!!!!
Keep in mind, we will be having a community wide garage sale June 2nd at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Alice, Texas. If you have some unwanted items, let Galilee or I know and we will be more than happy to pick them up. Also, come over early that Saturday to find yourself some treasure!!! The garage sale will begin at 8:00 in the morning, but warning there are plenty of early birds out there!!!
